  • Black Friday affiliate strategies

Repost Your Old Content

Just a quick reminder—repost your old content.

I’ve been dealing with burnout and simply haven’t had the energy to be on camera as much. We’ve all been there.

So I downloaded a video I posted on Instagram last fall and reposted it. Didn’t change a thing about it. Just added a caption.

The original video did 485k views and the repost did 98k, so not the same level of performance. But frankly, it performed better than some of the other content I’ve posted lately…and it’s far better than posting nothing.

If you’re also experiencing burnout, or simply want to slow down a bit, grab your top-performing content and repost it.

Will people know it’s a repost? Do you remember exactly what you posted a year ago? Probably not. Your audience might not either.

Case in point: A friend of mine reposted her old content for over a month straight—I didn’t even know they were reposts until she told me.

You can also rework content:

  • similar voiceover different visual

  • same visual different voiceover

  • talking to camera ➡️ voiceover (and vice versa)

Posting Content on LinkedIn

LinkedIn has been seriously pushing video content lately—and creators are starting to take advantage. With their new Video tab, you can easily repost your content to the LinkedIn feed.

What Can You Charge for a Brand Deal on LinkedIn?

Lloyd G. posts about the creator economy. With 8.6k LinkedIn followers, he charges between $1,500 and $2,400 per post.

LinkedIn is still developing its creator community, and because most people haven’t taken advantage of the platform yet, there isn’t a lot of data behind what to charge.

However, if you remember this previous issue, we looked at rates for other platforms. We found that most people charged 1-3% of their following.

Based on the rates shared above, it seems like the value of a LinkedIn sponsorship could be significantly higher.

Should You Post on LinkedIn?

For certain niches—like fashion and gaming—it probably doesn’t make sense. But for business, career, and personal finance, it certainly does.

Black Friday Creator Prep Checklist

Black Friday deals are already in full swing. If you’re keen to earn some affiliate income, here are a few ideas/things to think about:

  1. Favorite Product RoundUps: Share your favorite products of 2024 within a certain niche like:

    1. I Spent $X on My Gaming Setup: Here’s What I’d Repurchase

    2. Tech Products I’d Buy on Black Friday

  2. Black Friday Deals That Suck: Start with a hook like “Don’t be deceived by these Black Friday deals.” Then share deals that are so good (sarcastic angle). Something like:

    1. XYZ store is offerng 80% off, which is crazy…because 81% would be better

    2. I got this product 30% when I bought it which sucks because now they’re having a 40%

  3. Lookbooks: Create a visual lookbook in Canva. Make each product link an affiliate link. Things like:

    1. Winter Capsule Wardrobe Essentials

    2. The BEST Desk Setup for Developers

    3. THE Products You Need to Achieve the Clean Girl Makeup Look

  4. The Google Sheet Sale List: Create a list of all the best Black Friday deals in your niche in a Google Sheet. Film a green screen video showing the sheet, then link it in your bio.

💡 Make sure to use affiliate links for any brand or product you mention.

🔎 Pinterest releases trend report based on search data.

📲 $7k/mo UGC opportunity (15 vids) for LA-based creator.

🧒 Does creating a chatbot to respond to your DMs really work?

🍗 YouTube added new engagement features.

👀 IG comes out with yet another feature no one asked for.

See ya next week,
